Step 1: Setup your products in iTunes Connect (for iOS) and Google Play (for Android)

Before you set up your products in the BuildFire control panel, you'll need to follow the steps in these articles:

Step 2: Enter your Google billing key in BuildFire

Getting Your License Key from Google Play

In order to be able to use in-app purchases for Google Play, the license key must be retrieved which will next be saved in BuildFire.

From the Google Play Developer Console navigate first to the BuildFire app you wish to enable purchases for.

To set Google Billing Key in BuildFire go to “Purchase Settings” under “Settings” and add your billing there. Make sure you remove any spaces.

Step 3: Add your products and associated product IDs to the control panel

Now that your products have been added in iTunes Connect and Google Play, you can now link them in BuildFire by going to “Purchase Settings” under “Settings”

IMPORTANT: Make sure to fill in the iOS and Android Product IDs with the same ID you used to register the product in iTunes Connect and Google Play. The Name field, however, can be anything you want as it is the name that will be shown to the user when they are purchasing.

Step 4: Enable purchasing and add product IDs to your plugins

Once you have entered all the products that your app will be using, it is time to associate your product with a plugin that a user can purchase. The easiest way to do this is to navigate to a plugin you would like to sell. You will notice there is now a purchase tab on the plugin.

  • Navigate to the plugin you would like to sell
  • Click the "Purchasing" tab
  • Select "Require Purchase"
  • Fill out the promotional information. This is what your user will see when they land on this plugin but have not yet purchased it.
  • Associate the product with the product you entered by selecting the corresponding product ID name

Step 5: Click Publish

Finally, hit publish, so your settings are reflected on user's apps.

Important Note: The first submission of IAP requires a new version to be submitted to Apple and Google. Subsequent submissions of IAPs, however, do not require a new app submission.
