What is Analytics Tracking?

Analytics Tracking is a new feature within your App Permissions Request and it allows you to configure how your user data will be tracked for analytics.

Note: accessing this page and feature for the first time will trigger a hard build (new app submission).

How to set up Analytics Tracking:

Step 1: Navigate to Integrations

Go to Integrations to set up Google Analytics, Facebook, and Segment. iOS changes will require re-publishing the app to take effect.

Integrations, previously known as Certificates & Keys, can be found within the Advanced section of your Control Panel.

Step 2: Add the Certificate Information

Add the certificate information for the various platforms you would like to track your analytics. Once this has been completed navigate back to Analytics Tracking.

Step 3: Select how you will gather the user’s personal data.

You have three options to choose from, Identified with consent, Anonymous without consent, and Identified without consent.

Identified with consent will gather the user’s personal data like name, location, and other behavioral data after asking for the user’s permission.

Note: Should the user decline, the system will automatically shift the option to Anonymous without consent.

Anonymous without consent will gather the behavioral data without asking for consent, but won’t be linked to the user’s identity. It will be saved as anonymous.

Note: This option could be selected through the Control Panel or will be automatically turned on if the user declines the Identified with consent option.

Identified without consent is the default setting for Analytics Tracking. This will gather the user’s personal data like name, location, and other behavioral data, without their permission.

Note: it is advised that this option is used for internal apps only.

Step 4: Customize Analytics Tracking permission dialog

You are able to customize the Dialog content for iOS and Android. On Android, you are able to customize the Dialog Title and OK Button as well.

Any changes to the permission dialog will trigger another hard build (new app submission).
