Welcome to our white label user management and tagging video. I’ll be going over how to turn on this new feature in the white label system and how you can integrate it into your business plan. If you’d like to watch a video on how to use the user management and tagging system on the customer control panel, then you can do so by clicking here.

User Management & Tagging

User Management and Tagging is a new feature that allows your customers to organize and manage the user profiles on their app. They can do so using tags, which are basically keywords that they can attach to certain users. Using these tags, they can further understand who their users are which in turn lets them better cater their content, sell their products, and market their app to potential users.

As you can see, it’s an incredibly powerful tool, which is why we give you the option to enable it in only certain configurations. We wanted to give you more options to monetize on our platform, so we recommend using this feature to upsell to your leads.

Enable User Management & Tagging in Configurations

To enable this option

  1. Go to Configurations

  2. Select the configuration you’d like to enable it in

  3. Click Edit

  4. Scroll down until you reach the User Management and User Tagging sections

  5. You’ll see 3 sections: Enable, Disable, and Hide. Click Enable.

Disable allows the section to appear but makes it inaccessible, and Hide makes the section disappear completely. We added in a differentiation between Disable and Hide to give you more flexibility in how you can upsell to your users.

When you Disable, the user will see that the feature is inaccessible. This can be an opportunity for them to reach out to you to learn more about it and possibly upgrade. If they don’t decide then to upgrade, the section will always be there reminding them that the feature exists. Who knows, they might change their mind in the future.

Advanced Plugin Access Settings

Advanced Plugin Access Settings will appear if you enable both user management and tagging. This lets your users restrict access to certain plugins based on the tags assigned to the user. For example, they can create a VIP section of the app that is only available to paying users with the tag VIP or paying user associated with them. This is a subset feature of User Management and Tagging that you can use as an upsell too.

I hope this video was helpful in teaching you a bit about the User Management and Tagging section. Feel free to contact us at wlsupport@buildfire.com if you have any more questions. Thanks so much for watching and I’ll see you next time.
