One of the most important tasks required for your WhiteLabel is to ensure that your CNAMEs have been selected and pointed to the necessary end point. In this article, we'll show you how to do just that.

Selecting CNAMEs:

The first step will be to select CNAMEs for the following subdomains:

  • App Control Panel: This is the Control Panel landing page for any of the app owners within your WhiteLabel. A commonly used CNAME for this is "myapp," giving you a URL of "myapp.yourdomainhere.com"

  • White Label Admin Control Panel: This is the admin landing page for the WhiteLabel owner. An example CNAME that can be used for this is "admin," which results in "admin.yourdomainhere.com" as the URL.

  • Sign Up Page: New users sign up for their accounts here. A simple, yet great CNAME for this is to use "signup," resulting in "signup.yourdomainhere.com"

Now that your CNAMEs are good to go, the last step is to point them all to the appropriate URL.

Point CNAMES to proper endpoint:

Once you've input all the CNAMEs you would like to use, the next step is to point them to the appropriate endpoint URL. Within your domain host's DNS settings, ensure the CNAMEs you've input are pointed to: sslproxy.buildfire.com. See GoDaddy example below.

Note: Each service provider is a little bit different, however the steps should be similar. Make sure you reach out to the appropriate support team for specifics if needed.
