How to comply with Google Play's Android 15 (API 35) requirement

Google has announced that all apps and updates submitted to the Play Store after August 31, 2025 must target Android 15 (API level 35). This requirement helps ensure compatibility, performance, and security on the latest Android devices. Buildfire has implemented the necessary updates to support this change.


Required

  • Applies to all apps submitted to the Google Play Store after August 31, 2025

  • No action needed if:

    • Your app was updated in July 2024 or later.

    • You have not received communication from Buildfire support.

  • Follow up with support if:

    • Your app's last update was before July 2024.

    • You received instructions from our support team.


How to check if you are compliant with Google Play Android 15 requirement?

  1. Check your app's last update date:

    • Go to your app listing on the Google Play Store.

    • Scroll to the bottom and locate the "Updated on" field.

  2. If your app has not been updated since before July 2024, contact Buildfire support.

  3. If contacted by our team, follow their instructions to ensure compliance.

  4. No action is required if your app has already been updated after July 2024.
