How to punch a card as an app owner

Manually apply punches and manage rewards through the Punch Card plugin as an app owner or store manager.

Overview

App owners and store managers can manually apply punches to a user's digital punch card using the Punch Card plugin. To do this, you must log in with a user account that has been tagged with the correct reward approval tag (e.g., "admin" or "shop owner"). Once logged in, you can scan the user's QR code or enter their user ID to apply punches and manage reward history.


Requirements

  • This is a Boost plugin, available on the Standard, Growth, and Business plans..

  • You must be logged in with an account tagged with the reward approval tag.

  • The Punch Card plugin must be installed and configured.

  • The app users must be logged in to receive the stamp on their punchcard.


How to apply punches

  1. Log in to the app using an account with the reward approval tag (e.g., "admin" or "shop owner").

  2. Go to the Punch Card plugin from the app.

  3. You will see the merchant interface, which includes:

    • History of rewards and punches.

    • A scanner button to scan user QR codes.

    • A field to enter user ID manually.

  4. Choose one of the following:

    • Click the scanner button and scan the user's QR code.

    • Or, enter the user's ID in the Enter User ID field and click Confirm.

  5. The user's punch card will appear.

  6. Click the plus (+) icon to add punches.

  7. Click Confirm to apply the punches.

  8. The user’s updated stamp total will appear in the History section.

  9. Once the card is completed, a reward earned message will appear.


Pro tips

  • Use QR scanning for faster entry and to reduce errors.

  • Assign staff members a tag to securely manage reward approvals.

  • Encourage users to log in before visiting the store to ensure their punch card is available.
