The login screen is the first impression users get when accessing your app. You can fully customize the layout, branding, fields, and user access rules to fit your needs.

Requirements

  • All plans are able to customize the login screen.

    • Adding Custom SSO to your login screen is only available on the Scale plan

    • Adding Custom Registration fields is only available on the Growth and Scale

    • Adding Multi-Device Login is only available on the Scale plan.

How to customize the login screen

  1. Log in, go to User Access, then select Login Screen from the left side menu

  2. Click the Design tab

    1. Upload your Logo, adjust its size, or choose to hide it entirely

    2. Add a Custom Background Image for mobile and tablet views, or select a solid background color

    3. Modify Image Opacity or disable the background image if desired

    4. Customize the appearance of Input Fields (email and password): adjust text color, border color, toggle icons on or off, and choose icon colors

    5. Style Buttons and Text: adjust button radius (roundness), background color, and text color for both login and social sign-in buttons

  3. Click the Settings tab

    1. Enable Username and Password Sign In to allow standard login (recommended)

    2. Choose between using Buildfire Login or setting up Custom Single Sign-On (SSO) integration (only available on Scale)

    3. You can also toggle on sign-in integrations such as Apple, Google, Facebook, X

    4. Configure Session Expiration: choose whether sessions expire on app close, after a set period, or remain active indefinitely

    5. Customize the Session Timeout Message displayed to users when they are logged out automatically

    6. Decide whether to allow Multi-Device Login, letting users stay signed in on multiple devices simultaneously

    7. Toggle on Location Tracking (required if using location based plugins or geofencing notifications)

    8. Set a Default Domain to simplify email login formatting (optional)

4. Click the Language tab

  • Customize labels and messages shown on the login screen
