How to manage users in User Management

Manage app users by importing, exporting, searching, filtering, tagging, and controlling access from the User Management section.

User Management lets you control who has access to your app, review user activity, assign tags, and manage accounts at scale. From this section, you can bulk import users, export user data, search and filter accounts, view individual user profiles, and take actions such as resetting passwords, banning users, or deleting accounts.


How to manage users in User Management

  1. Log in, go to Users in the left navigation, then click User Management

  2. To manage users in bulk

    • Click Download Template to export a CSV that matches your app’s registration and profile fields

    • Fill in the CSV with user information you want to import

    • Click Bulk Import

    • Upload the file

  3. To export existing users

    • Click Export User Data to download all user records in CSV format

  4. To find specific users

    • Enter a keyword in the search bar to filter by name, email, or profile fields

    • Filter users by status by selecting All, Active, or Banned

    • Filter users by signup date by selecting a start and end date

    • Filter users by tags by choosing whether users must have all selected tags, any selected tags, or be missing specific tags

  5. Review the user to see:

    • Click a user’s name to open their profile and view detailed account information

    • From the user profile, review profile details, assigned tags, and activity history (on supported plans)

    • Click Last Access to view a timeline of the user’s in-app activity, including pages and features they accessed

  6. In the main table under the User Management tab you ca:

    • Click the tag count to view or manage the user’s assigned tags

    • Change a user’s access

      1. Select Active or Banned from the status dropdown

    • Click the three-dot menu to reset the user’s password or permanently delete the user profile


Pro tips

  • Use tags to segment users for access control, messaging, and analytics

  • Export user data regularly to maintain an external backup

  • Review activity timelines to understand how users engage with your app

  • Ban users instead of deleting them if you may need historical data later
