The Notification Analytics section helps you track the effectiveness of your push notifications. You can see how many were sent, how many were opened, and how many users clicked an action which gives you a clear picture of your engagement over time.

Requirements

  • An active Buildfire app with push notifications enabled

  • Notifications previously sent through the Push Notification tool

How to view Push Notification Analytics

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click Push Notifications

  3. Select the Analytics tab

  4. View your list of previously sent notifications. Click on any notification to see:

    • Date and time sent

    • Total devices reached – includes both iOS and Android devices that have opted in to notifications

    • Opens – counts users who tapped to view the full notification or opened the app from it (does not include those who dismissed it)

    • Actions clicked – shows how many users interacted with an embedded action link or button

    • CTR (Click-Through Rate) – percentage of users who clicked an action versus total opens

  5. Click the View Details (chart icon) on the right of any notification:

    • Search by user email to confirm delivery to specific users

    • See each user’s country, view date, click date, and platform (iOS or Android)

  6. Click the Reports tab for visual insights:

    • See graphs for Sent, Delivered, Opened, and Clicked notifications over time

Pro tips

  • Send notifications that add value. Focus on updates, offers, or reminders that genuinely help your users rather than repeating generic messages.

  • Target the right audience. Use Groups or Custom Segments to send tailored messages based on user tags, preferences, or signup details.

  • Explain why to enable notifications. Make sure users know what they’ll gain—like exclusive deals, new content, or important alerts—when opting in.

  • Optimize timing through data. Review open and click patterns in analytics to learn when users are most active, then schedule future sends at those times.

  • Experiment and refine. Track results from different message types, visuals, or send times to see what consistently performs best for your audience.
