User tags allow you to segment users, secure content, personalize experiences, and target specific groups. There are three types of tags:

  • System-generated tags (e.g., $$registered) automatically applied by Buildfire

  • Auto-assigned tags created through registration fields or feature-level behavioral tagging

  • Manually created tags used for staff access, special permissions, or unique roles

Once tags exist, you can use them to control access, display or hide content, grant permissions, or send targeted push notifications.
