Charging users to download your app requires configuration outside of Buildfire in both Apple and Google developer accounts. Before an app can be submitted as a paid app, each platform requires specific business and payment information to be completed by the account holder. Once those accounts are ready, you can mark your app as paid during submission and notify the Buildfire publishing team to finalize pricing.
Requirements
An active Apple Developer account and Google Play Developer account
Account holder access for both Apple and Google (other roles cannot complete these steps)
Completed business, banking, and tax information in both platforms
Your app ready for submission from the Buildfire Control Panel
How to charge users to download your app
Log in to your Apple App Store Connect account as the account holder.
Go to the Business section of App Store Connect and complete the Paid Applications agreement.
Enter all required contact, banking, and tax information.
This step is required before Apple allows paid apps.
Log in to your Google Play Console account as the account holder.
Go to Settings, then create or activate a payments profile.
Complete the public merchant profile with required business and payment details.
Once both Apple and Google accounts are fully set up, go to the Buildfire Control Panel and prepare your app for publishing.
In the publishing information section, select the option to submit your app as a paid app.
Fill out all required publishing fields and click Save, then click Publish My App to send it to the Buildfire publishing team.
Immediately after submission, email the Buildfire customer success team and let them know:
You want to charge for your app download
The price you want to set
Buildfire will coordinate with the publishing team to ensure your app is submitted as a paid app at the selected price.
Pro tips
Only the account holder can complete payment and business setup on Apple and Google.
Apple requires the paid application setup before every paid app submission.
Google requires payment profile setup once per developer account.
Pricing is finalized during the publishing process, not directly inside the Buildfire Control Panel.
