The app analytics tab provides a high-level overview of key performance metrics for your app, including total downloads and registered users. You can identify growth patterns, seasonal trends, and the impact of specific campaigns. For deeper insights such as user demographics or in-app behavior, you can integrate with advanced analytics tools like Segment or review your developer dashboards in the Apple App Store and Google Play Console.

Requirements

  • Available to all plans

  • Your app must be published to begin collecting download data

  • For advanced analytics, connect your app to Segment or a third-party tracking tool

How to use the App Analytics tab

  1. Log in, go to the Analytics tab

  2. At the top, you’ll see two main performance metrics:

    • App Downloads — shows how many times your app has been downloaded across all platforms

    • Total Users — shows how many people have registered within your app

  3. Review the download chart

    • The first line graph displays total downloads over time

    • Use it to identify peaks in user acquisition, seasonal trends, or the effects of marketing campaigns

    • For example, if downloads peak in a given month, it may correlate with a new release or promotion

  4. Review the user registration chart

    • The second line graph tracks new user registrations over time

    • This helps you distinguish between people who only downloaded the app versus those who completed onboarding and registered

  5. Compare trends

    • Check whether download spikes also result in higher registration rates

    • Declines in registration may suggest friction during sign-up or limited app activity post-download

  6. For advanced analytics

    • Integrate with Segment, Amplitude, or other analytics platforms to analyze retention, session behavior, and user demographics

    • You can also review detailed reports in your Apple Developer Console and Google Play Developer Console for store-specific insights

Pro tips

  • Use the analytics tab weekly to monitor app growth and detect sudden changes early

  • Compare download and registration trends after app updates or marketing campaigns to measure impact

  • Connect Segment for deeper user behavior tracking, such as feature engagement or session time

  • Combine data from the analytics tab with your store dashboards for a full picture of acquisition and retention
