Some use cases of this feature include:

  • Inserting your Facebook timeline into your app by using just a link.

  • Give you another open channel of communication or support with your users.

What are primary functions of adding Facebook to my app and what are the steps to accomplish them?

Due to a recent change in Facebook's code, you will have to use the WebView feature to display your Facebook account. Let’s go over how to use this amazing feature to show your Facebook account in your app.

How to Add Facebook to Your App

Here are some simple steps get this feature live on your app, but if you’d like more detailed information, we’ve written a dedicated article about how to create and enable Marketplace features.

Step 1: Create a New Instance of the WebView Feature and Add it to Your App

You’ll want to use the WebView feature to show your Facebook account in your app. If you don’t know how to create a new instance of a feature, we have a dedicated article on how to do so which you can find here.

Once you have created a new instance of the WebView feature, place it where you want it in your app. This can be within another Feature, your side bar, etc.

Step 2: Place your Facebook Account’s URL Into the “URL” Field and click “Validate”

Now that you have created a new instance of the WebView feature, grab your Facebook account’s URL and place it in the “URL” field.

Step 3: Select “In App Popup Window”

Once the URL has been successfully validated, make sure you select the “In App Popup Window” setting in order for your Facebook account to display properly.

Step 4: Once you’ve created your content, you can make your feature accessible by adding it to a Folder plugin, the side menu, or the footer menu.

What are some Pro Tips you should know about to take your app to the next level?
