The side menu is your app’s sliding navigation panel, giving users quick access to important features from anywhere in the app. You can control which features appear, how they are ordered, how secure features behave, and how the menu looks and animates when opened

How to configure your side menu

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click the Navigation tab

  3. Click Side Menu, stay in the Settings tab

    • Add existing features to the menu

      1. Click Add Existing Feature

      2. Select any feature already in your app

      3. The feature appears instantly in the side menu

    • Add a new feature directly from the menu

      1. Click Add New Feature

      2. Choose a plugin from the marketplace

      3. It will be added to your app and placed in the side menu

    • Reorder menu items

      1. Drag items up or down to change their order

    • Remove a feature from the menu

      1. Click the X icon beside the feature

      2. Removing does not delete the feature from the app, it only removes it from the menu

    • Load all features at once

      1. Click Load All Features to populate the menu with every plugin currently installed in your app

    • Choose how features that require login or permissions should appear with the Secure Features drop down

      1. Enable: item is visible and tappable but shows an access denied message to unauthorized users

      2. Disable: item appears but is grayed out and not tappable

      3. Hidden: item does not appear at all for unauthorized users

  4. Click the Design tab

    • Choose Left or Right alignment

    • Enable Floating Icon to create spacing between the menu icon and the screen edge

    • Turn on Transparent Icon for a minimal look

    • Upload a 1024 × 1024 image to replace the default menu icon

    • Or choose from the built-in icon library

    • Upload an image or choose a background color

    • Select an opening animation

      1. Slide In

      2. Fade In

      3. Frosty Glass (adds a blurred translucent effect)

    • Adjust image opacity

      1. Use the opacity slider to lighten or darken your background image

  5. Click the Language tab

    • Update any text shown in the side menu

      1. Search for items like “Login” and rename them (e.g., to “Sign In”)

  6. Toggle menu visibility

    • Turn the Side Menu switch off to hide the menu completely

    • Turn it on to show the menu again

Pro tips

  • Keep your most important features at the top so users can reach them quickly

  • Use Hidden mode for premium or internal features to avoid cluttering the menu

  • Use a simple background and high-contrast icons to ensure maximum readability
