How to use the Coupons plugin

Create and manage coupons your users can redeem. Great for loyalty programs, promos, and limited-time offers.

The Coupons plugin lets you display and manage redeemable offers in your app. You can include details, categories, redemption limits, and even location-based filtering. Great for customer rewards and promotional campaigns.


Requirements

  • This is a Boost plugin, available on the Standard, Growth, and Scale plans

  • Login is required for users to redeem coupons


How to Use the Coupons Plugin

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click the + button to open the Plugin Marketplace

    1. Search for Coupons, then click Add Plugin

    2. Give your plugin a name (e.g., "Promos"), then click Add

  3. Stay in the Content tab:

    1. Add a top image carousel (optional)

    2. Use the editor below to add introductory text, images, videos, or buttons

  4. Manage your coupons:

    1. Use the search and filters to find coupons by keyword, category, or status

    2. Sort coupons manually, alphabetically, or by date

    3. Click Bulk Actions to import/export via CSV template

  5. Click Add Coupon to create a new coupon:

    1. Enter a Title, Summary, and select a Category

    2. Add a List Image (required)

    3. (Optional) Add additional images in the Image Carousel

    4. Add a Pre-Redemption Image and text

    5. Add a Post-Redemption Image and text

    6. Set Start Date and Expiration Date

    7. Choose if it’s Single Use or can Reuse After a specific time

    8. (Optional) Add an address or location

    9. Add an Action Item to link elsewhere in the app or web

  6. Go to the Categories section in the Content tab to add/edit coupon categories

  7. Go to the Design tab:

    1. Choose the layout style for how coupons appear

  8. Go to the Settings tab:

    1. Choose between List View or Map View as default display

    2. Adjust distance units and category page display settings

  9. Go to the Security tab:

    1. Turn on Require Login

    2. (Optional) Add tag restrictions to control access

  10. Go to the Tagging tab:

    1. Enter a tag name to apply to users when they view this plugin

    2. Click Add Tag

  11. Go to the Purchase tab:

    1. Check Require Purchase to enable

    2. Choose product type and add images and text

  12. Go to the Analytics tab:

    1. View data like coupon views, redemptions, and top users


Pro tips

  • Pre- and post-redemption text/images help drive urgency and highlight value

  • Use categories to group coupons by type (e.g., Food, Events, Products)

  • Upload a batch of coupons using the CSV import feature to save time
