Creating a Google Play Developer account allows you to publish and manage your apps on the Google Play Store. You will have full control over branding, pricing, and distribution.

Requirements

  • A valid Google account (we recommend using one dedicated to publishing).

  • A valid credit or debit card to pay the one-time $25 registration fee.

  • You must be at least 18 years old.

How to create your Google Play Developer Account

  1. Go to the Google Play Console sign up page
Sign in with your Google account to start the registration process.

  2. Accept the Developer Distribution Agreement
Read and agree to the terms to continue.

  3. Pay the registration fee
Complete the payment of the one-time $25 fee using your credit or debit card.

  4. Complete your account details

    • For an Individual account, provide your developer name, email, address, and phone number.

    • For an Organization account, provide your organization name, website, address, phone number, and contact details.

  5. Verify your identity
Upload the required verification documents. This may include a government-issued ID for individuals or legal documents for organizations.

  6. Submit and wait for approval
Account activation may take up to 48 hours.

Pro Tips

  • Use a company email instead of a personal one for easier team management.

  • Choose an Organization account if multiple people will be managing apps.

  • Keep your account details accurate to avoid delays or suspensions.

  • Remember, the $25 fee is one-time, but account access depends on compliance with Google policies.
