The Image Gallery and Info Slider Plugin is a great way to showcase full-screen images in your app! 

If you’re creating an app that’s very visually heavy, like an art portfolio or if you’d like to showcase multiple images of one of your products, then the Slider Plugin is a powerful tool for you! It allows you to control the image slideshow speeds and the image size to your liking.

What are some use cases of the Image Gallery and Info Slider Plugin?

Some use cases of this feature include:

  • Restaurant App: showcase your food and nutritional information.

  • Motivational App: you can use the Slider Plugin to display inspirational quotes.

Step 1: In the left menu, go to “Features” and click “Marketplace”
Step 2: Search the Marketplace for "Image Gallery and Info Slider"
Step 3: Click “Add”, give it a title, and click “Add” again to confirm it

Once you've added it, you can change the feature's icon and title, which will be what your users see when they access it in your app.

Step 4: Once you’ve created your content, you can make your feature accessible by adding it to a Folder plugin, the side menu, or the footer menu.

How to add images

Step 1: Click the "Add Image" button

Step 2: Select your images from the Media Library and click "Insert Image(s)"

Choose between Widescreen and Fullscreen Displays

Step 1: Click on the "Design" Tab

Step 2: Set the slider to either Widescreen or Fullscreen

Having worked with apps for years, we’ve learned a thing or two. So, to both help your app stand out and accomplish your primary goals, here are some tips you should consider.

Pro Tip 1: Pick the Right Transition Speed
Setting the speed to 3 seconds mimics the speed at which our templates’ image carousels move. We recommend that you use that if you like how that looks. This also helps keep a uniformity within your app. You can adjust the speed under the “Settings” tab:

Pro Tip 2: Make sure your Images are in the Right Order
If at anytime you’d like to change the order of the images, simply click on the three bars to the left of the image and drag the images to the desired position.

Pro Tip 3: Get Creative With Your Images
Get creative with what images you use! You can showcase the food at your restaurant, include daily inspirational quotes, or could tell a sequential story. The possibilities are limitless!
