How to use the Slider plugin

Showcase images in a rotating slider with optional actions and links.

The Slider plugin allows you to display a set of rotating images in your app, with optional links to app content, web pages, or features. You can control layout, image behavior, and how long each slide appears.


Requirements

  • This is a Boost plugin, available on the Standard, Growth, and Business plans.

  • Login is optional unless using tag-based access control.


How to use the Slider plugin

  • Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  • Click the + button to open the Plugin Marketplace

    • Search for Slider, then click Add Plugin

    • Give your plugin a name (e.g., “Home Slider”)

    • Click Add

  • In the Content Tab

    • To add a new image

      1. Click Add Image

      2. Upload from your device, use your media library, or choose a Stock Image

      3. Click Insert Image

    • To link an image to app content or an external URL

      1. Click the + icon on the image

      2. Choose an Action (e.g., App Content → Notes plugin)

      3. Click Save

    • To reorder images: drag the six dots next to the image

    • To delete an image: click the X on the image

  • Go to the Design tab

  • Choose how your image is displayed

  • Crop: Crops the image to a 16:9 ratio

  • Fill: Fills the entire screen with the image

  • Fit: Displays the full image without cropping

  1. Go to the Settings tab

    1. Set how long each image is shown

  • Enter the duration (in seconds) for slide transitions (e.g., 2 seconds)

  1. Go to the Security tab

    1. (Optional) Turn on Require Login to restrict access

    2. (Optional) Add tag restrictions to allow access for specific user segments

  2. Go to the Tagging tab

    1. Enter a tag name to automatically apply to users when they open this feature

    2. Click Add Tag

  3. Click the Purchase tab

    1. Check Require Purchase to enable

    2. Choose your product type (e.g., Single Purchase or Subscription)

    3. Upload an image, fill out purchase text, and success/failure messages

  4. Click the Analytics tab to see feature performance

    1. View data such as number of views, users, and devices over time


Pro tips

  • Use action links to turn your slider into a clickable menu.

  • Choose “Fit” layout for full-view images like flyers or event posters.

  • You can use the Slider plugin as your app’s home screen.
