The checklist plugin lets you build task lists that users can work through directly in the app. You can add a welcome message, assign tasks, show a completion message, and even redirect users to another plugin when all tasks are finished. Each checklist item supports notes, reminders, and reordering for flexibility.

Requirements

  • This is a Boost plugin, available on the Standard, Growth, and Scale plans

How to use the checklist plugin

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click the + button to open the Plugin Marketplace

    • Search for Checklist, then click Add Plugin

    • Name your plugin (e.g., “To-Do List”) and click Add

  3. In the Content tab:

    • Choose how to add data: generate with AI, import data, or enter manually

    • Add a Task List Description — this is the header area where you can include text, images, videos, buttons, or links

    • Add a Task List Completion Message (e.g., “Congratulations, you did it!”)

    • (Optional) Add an Action Item to the completion message that redirects users to another plugin or app section

    • Create your tasks:

      • Enter a task description

      • Add tasks one by one (e.g., Task A, Task B, Task C)

      • Reorder tasks by dragging

      • Edit tasks using the pencil icon or delete them with the X icon

  4. Test in the App Simulator:

    • The header description displays above the checklist

    • Users can bookmark the list or add general notes

    • Each checklist item allows:

      • Adding task-specific notes

      • Setting reminders (10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 1 day)

      • Marking the task as complete

    • Completing all tasks shows the completion message and, if configured, an action button that redirects to the linked plugin or section

  5. In the Design tab:

    • (Optional) Enable Advanced Mode to customize design with CSS (recommended only for those familiar with CSS)

  6. In the Security tab:

    • Turn on Require Login to restrict feature access to logged-in users

    • (Optional) Add tag-based restrictions and choose whether to match any or all tags

  7. In the Tagging tab:

    • Enter a tag name to automatically apply to users when they open this feature

    • Click Add Tag

  8. In the Purchase tab:

    • Check Require Purchase to enable

    • Choose your product type (e.g., Single Purchase or Subscription)

    • Upload an image, fill out purchase text, and success/failure messages

  9. In the Analytics tab:

    • View data such as number of views, users, and devices over time

Pro tips

  • Use the Task List Completion Message to motivate users or direct them to the next step in your app.

  • Redirect to related plugins (like Training Videos or Menu Ordering) to create guided user flows.

  • Keep task names clear and concise for the best user experience.
