The Community Feed plugin connects with your existing community walls and displays a single, combined stream of posts from all the walls a user follows. It also allows you to post public announcements that appear for everyone.

Requirements

  • This is a Boost plugin, available on the Standard, Growth, and Scale plans

  • At least one existing Community Wall plugin is configured with Allow Users to Follow Each Other enabled

How to use the community feed plugin

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click the + button to open the Plugin Marketplace

    • Search for Community Feed, then click Add Plugin

    • Name your plugin (e.g., “Community Feed”) and click Add

  3. In your existing Community Wall plugin(s):

    • Go to Settings

    • Turn on Allow Users to Follow Each Other

    • This ensures posts from followed users appear in the Community Feed

  4. Return to the Community Feed plugin:

    • The header area automatically displays all connected community walls

    • Selecting any wall will load its posts in the feed below

  5. In the Builder tab:

    • You can add a Public Post (optional):

      1. Click Add Post

      2. Enter a title and description

      3. Click Save to post a global announcement that appears in every user’s feed

    • Test the feed in the app simulator:

      1. Click any post to open it in the image viewer

      2. Click the X to close the preview

      3. Ensure followed users’ posts appear correctly across connected walls

  6. Click the Security tab:

    • Turn on Require Login to restrict feature access to logged-in users

    • (Optional) Add tag-based restrictions and choose whether to match any or all tags

  7. Click the Tagging tab:

    • Enter a tag name to automatically apply to users when they open this feature

    • Click Add Tag

  8. Click the Purchase tab:

    • Check Require Purchase to enable

    • Choose your product type (e.g., Single Purchase or Subscription)

    • Upload an image, fill out purchase text, and success/failure messages

  9. Click the Analytics tab to see feature performance:

    • View data such as number of views, users, and devices over time

Pro tips

  • Make sure each connected Community Wall has Allow Users to Follow Each Other enabled, or posts won’t appear in the feed.

  • Use Public Posts for announcements that need to reach everyone in your app.

  • If your feed looks empty, confirm users are following others in the connected community walls.
