Deep linking lets you create links or buttons that take users to a specific location within a plugin—not just the plugin itself. This is helpful when you want to guide users to a particular event, person, location, or item without making them manually navigate through lists. Deep links can be added through WYSIWYG editors or any feature that supports Action Items.

Requirements

  • Deep Linking is available only in plugins that support feature-level content linking, such as Locations, People, and Seminar & Lecture Notes.

How to use Deep Linking

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Open the plugin where you want to add the deep link (e.g., WYSIWYG or any plugin that supports Action Items)

  3. Add an action item

    • In a WYSIWYG editor, click Insert → Insert/edit action item

    • In a plugin that supports actions, click Add Action

  4. Choose the deep-link-enabled plugin

    • Locations

    • People

    • Seminar & Lecture Notes

    • Any plugin displaying “Deep Link” or “Select Feature Content” when chosen

  5. After selecting the plugin, enable Deep Link

    • Check off Deeplink to feature content

      1. A new option, Select Feature Content, will appear

      2. Choose the specific item you want the link to open (e.g., a location, a person profile, a seminar)

      3. (Optional) Toggle on Track Analytics

    • (Optional) Add a Custom Query String

      1. Use query strings to pass extra parameters into the plugin

      2. Examples:

        1. Specify which item to open

        2. Filter content

        3. Trigger a specific state inside the plugin

    • Save your action item
