The X plugin lets you embed a direct link to your X profile, making it easy for users to visit and follow your account. The link opens in the user’s default mobile browser and works on both iOS and Android.

Requirements

  • This is a Boost plugin, available on the Standard, Growth, and Scale plans.

  • A valid public X (Twitter) profile URL.

How to use the X plugin

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click the + button to open the Plugin Marketplace

    • Search for X, then click Add Plugin

    • Name your plugin (e.g., “Follow Us on X”) and click Add

  3. In the Content tab:

    • Paste your full X profile URL (e.g., https://x.com/yourhandle)

    • Click Validate and wait for confirmation that the link is verified

    • Once validated, the profile link will appear correctly on mobile devices

    • (Note: You won’t see the live X page in the app emulator — test it on your mobile device or in the live app to confirm)

  4. Click the Security tab:

    • Turn on Require Login to restrict feature access to logged-in users

    • (Optional) Add tag-based restrictions and choose whether to match any or all tags

  5. Click the Tagging tab:

    • Enter a tag name to automatically apply to users when they open this feature

    • Click Add Tag

  6. Click the Purchase tab:

    • Check Require Purchase to enable

    • Choose your product type (e.g., Single Purchase or Subscription)

    • Upload an image, fill out purchase text, and success/failure messages

  7. Click the Analytics tab to see feature performance:

    • View data such as number of views, users, and devices over time

Pro tips

  • Group all your social links (e.g., X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) inside a Folder plugin so users can access them from one place.

  • Always use the full X URL (starting with https://x.com/) to avoid validation errors.

  • Test the link on your phone since social profiles only open in the mobile app or browser, not in the Buildfire emulator.
