What is the Up Vote feature?
The Up Vote feature is an easy to use feature that allows your users to submit their own suggestions or opinions. Other users can then up vote their favorite submissions. This is a great way for you to gauge what types of things people are looking for in regards to your app as well as which suggestions are the most popular.
In this article, we’ll go over some use cases for the Up Vote feature, how to set it up, how it’s used within your app, some pro tips that we think will help you utilize the feature, as well as some related articles that we think will help you when building and maintaining your app.
What are some use cases of the Up Vote feature?
There’s a number of different ways that you can use the Up Vote feature! Some of them are:
Give users a way to submit feature requests: Nowadays, it’s rare for a tech company or service to not have their own app and what better way for those companies to see what their users are looking for in their service than with a tool that allows them to submit feature requests? With the vote counter, they can also see which features are most requested.
Allow users to give reviews on products and services: When it comes to eCommerce apps, reviews on the products and services that they offer is invaluable, as it helps them gauge whether they should continue offering that product or not. Users can then take advantage of the vote option to show which reviews are most helpful.
Use it to collect feedback and suggestions: Sometimes people don’t necessarily have a product that they want to review, but instead have feedback or a suggestion that they think will help other users of an app. You can use the Up Vote feature to collect this feedback and suggestions and see which comments are most popular by their vote count.

How to set up the Up Vote feature
Setting up the Up Vote feature in the App Dashboard is extremely simple. All you need to do is enter in the text that you want to appear above people’s suggestions in the “Description” WYSIWYG found in the “Content” tab of the Up Vote feature:

That’s it! We told you it was simple. Now let’s go over how the Up Vote feature is used within your app.
How the Up Vote feature is used within your app
Just like the setup of the Up Vote feature, using it in your app is just as easy! If a user wants to submit a suggestion, all they need to do is tap on the plus (+) button in the lower right-hand corner of the feature:
They then enter in a title for their suggestion in the “Title” field and their suggestion in the input box below the Title field. Once they’re done entering in their suggestion and title, they then tap “Submit” to submit their suggestion:
Their submission will now appear in the feature’s list of suggestions along with other users' suggestions. If that user would like to give another user’s suggestion an up vote, all they need to do is tap on the “Vote” button under the suggestion:
If they accidentally up voted a suggestion that they didn’t mean to vote for, they can tap on the vote button again to remove their vote. You can see how many votes each suggestion has next to the title of the suggestion:
