Getting Started With Your Public Figure App

What’s the most important thing for a Public Figure to have? Exposure. Without that, they don’t have an audience. What better way to gain exposure than to have your own mobile app? Everyone has a phone, and  we truly believe that mobile apps are the next natural step in helping you promote yourself as a public figure. In this article we’ll go over some of the best features to use in our system to help you get your name out there and foster interaction with your audience.

What Are Some Great Features To Use Inside Your App?

When you’re first navigating through our system, it can be a bit daunting thanks to the vast possibilities of what can be done with your app. That's why we’ve put together a list of some features that you can start off with which we feel will help get you on the right path to creating an amazing app for your brand.

What Features Can Help Me Connect With My Audience?

With the Community Wall feature, you can create a Community Wall that can act like your app’s chatroom. You can use it to talk to your audience about important topics, mention upcoming events, or you can use it to get to know your audience. You can even pop in and see what your audience is saying about you and interact with them directly. Whenever someone joins a Community Wall they will receive a notification every time someone else posts there, so everyone is included in the conversation. This is a great way for you to build and nurture your fan community.

You can also bring in your social media pages like Facebook with our Facebook feature, Twitter with our Twitter feature, and Instagram with our WebView feature. This allows you to bring all of your social media pages into one place making them more easily accessible for your audience.

Another great way to connect with your audience is through Push Notifications. With our system, you have complete control over your notifications. You can send out scheduled notifications, create notification groups that deal with specific topics that users can subscribe to, as well as set up automatic notifications. We also have the GeoFence feature that allows you to send out location-based notifications. Have an event coming up in a couple of days? You can set up a notification to trigger whenever someone gets within a certain distance of the venue which can remind them of your upcoming appearance.

You can also use our Events Manual 3.0, Events Feed, and Locations Features to inform your audience about upcoming events you’ll be at. The Events Manual 3.0 Feature allows you to manually input events into the in-app calendar via the App Dashboard, while the Event Feed Feature allows you to add events to the in-app calendar by syncing it with an iCal link.

With the Locations Feature you can show your audience where the upcoming events will take place. You can even use this in conjunction with the GeoFence Feature which can help remind them of an event coming up once they get within a certain distance of the event’s location.

What Are Some Features That Will Allow My Audience Get In Contact With Me?

Outside of the Social Wall feature, the Contact Us feature is a great way to give your audience a way to get in contact with you. With it you can set up various forms of contact such as email, phone, and the address of your base of operations if you want to make that available.

A public figure needs events to speak at, and a great way to get more bookings for events is by using our YouCanBook.Me or Calendly features to give users of your app the ability to schedule talking dates for you have accounts with those services.

If you want to run contests or have a questionnaire that you want to include in your app, you can use either the TypeForm, JotForm, or Google Forms feature which will allow you to bring in a form from one of those services that anyone can fill out in-app.

I Have Content That Coincides With My Events. How Can I Bring That Into The App?

With our system, you can bring your media into your app through our Media Center Manual, YouTube, and Vimeo Features. With the YouTube and Vimeo features you can connect your YouTube and/or Vimeo accounts directly into your app, allowing quick and easy access to your videos.

Through the Media Center Manual feature, you can connect audio, video, and text all into one feature. With a couple taps, your audience can switch between listening to an audio file, watching videos, and reading your content without having to switch between browser tabs. Really — the possibilities are endless in sharing your media.

Do you have images that go along with your content, or want to show photos from your latest event? With our Image Gallery and Info Slider feature you can share these in a nice and streamlined presentation.

How Can I Use The App To Create Another Revenue Stream?

It’s hard work getting your name out there, but what’s harder is maintaining a spot in the public eye, and an additional revenue stream can help you to make money doing what you love. This could come in several different forms like selling shirts, event tickets, and selling copies of your books or content. Along with providing access to your media content, you can set up Subscription In-App Purchases so that people can pay to access that content.

Do you have an online store that sells merch? If so, we have some great features that can help you with bringing your online store into your app. With the Shopify 2.0 and WebView features you can bring your online store into your app and make it accessible with a simple tap.

These are just a small handful of features that you can use in your app to help expand your reach as an artist, but we have many more in our system. We encourage you to check out all of the amazing features that we offer in our system so that you can make the best app for your brand.
